Accounts Payable Specialist

About the Role:
At Accountancy Action, we are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk with fluent German language skills to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with German-speaking suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and verify invoices in both English and German, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ensure accurate coding and timely posting of invoices to our accounting system, maintaining a high level of precision.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies, communicating effectively with suppliers.
- Handle payment runs, ensuring all payments are made accurately and on time, and maintaining organized financial records.
- Communicate effectively with German-speaking suppliers to resolve invoice queries, providing excellent customer service.
- Assist with month-end closing processes and accruals, supporting the finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key Requirements:
- Fluent in German (both written and spoken) and English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or similar finance role, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with an ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
