Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Pastry Chef to join our team at Change Hospitality as a key member of our Pastry Kitchen team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in managing all food production to clients within the hotel, ensuring the highest standard of food preparation and service is maintained at all times.
  • Supervise the preparation of regular food items, daily specialties, and any other special functions, such as banqueting.
  • Check all food deliveries for quality and maintain close liaison with the Purchasing Department.
  • Encourage and support members of the brigade by motivating them and providing guidance and feedback.
  • Complete departmental timesheets on a weekly basis, ensuring that all absenteeism, sickness, holidays, and overtime are properly recorded and authorized.
  • Contribute to maintaining an excellent level of service in conjunction with the minimum requirement of the LQA standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Commitment to consistent quality in our product and service.
