Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Pastry Chef to join our team at Change Hospitality. As a key member of our Pastry Kitchen team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and service are maintained at all times.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in managing all food production to clients within the hotel, ensuring seamless execution of culinary operations.
  • Supervise the preparation of regular food items, daily specialties, and special functions, such as banqueting events.
  • Conduct quality checks on all food deliveries and maintain close liaison with the Purchasing Department to ensure the highest standards of quality and freshness.
  • Lead and motivate members of the Pastry Kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their full potential.
  • Complete departmental timesheets on a weekly basis, accurately recording absenteeism, sickness, holidays, and overtime.
  • Contribute to maintaining an excellent level of service, adhering to the minimum requirements of the LQA standards at all times.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
