Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Pastry Senior Chef de Partie to join our team at Change Hospitality as a key member of our Pastry Kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Prepare ingredients for and during service, working closely with the Pastry team to ensure seamless execution.
  • Team Leadership: Assist the Pastry Head Chef in managing pastry and bakery production, ensuring high standards are maintained in food preparation.
  • Training and Development: Instruct, brief, and supervise Chef de Parties and the brigade in their daily tasks, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Quality Control: Participate in supervising and preparing all baked goods, pastries, and desserts in accordance with established recipes.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain high levels of communication between Sous Chefs and Chef de Parties, ensuring special messages and requests are handled promptly.
  • Inventory Management: Prepare food requisitions in accordance with daily routine, taking into account advance planning, special bookings, and staffing levels.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Ensure the kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils are always kept clean and tidy.
  • Team Dynamics: Maintain a positive relationship with the kitchen and front-of-house team.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5-star experience in a similar position is essential for this role.
  • Skills: Advanced patisserie skills, including chocolate tempering, and a passion for food and quality products and ingredients.
  • Personal Qualities: A team player with good communication skills, ability to work in a high-pressure environment, and excellent attention to detail.
