About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Lead to join our Business Standards team at the Security Industry Authority. As a key member of our strategy and scheme design team, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and managing strategies to improve standards across the private security industry.

The successful candidate will contribute to our success by providing technical subject matter expertise to inform and shape our thinking, design, and delivery of a new business approval scheme. This is an exciting, high-profile, and dynamic role where you will be at the forefront of change in the private security industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct and report in-depth research and analysis to help us set and define standards for businesses, enhancing public protection capabilities in the sector.
  • Lead and manage technical research campaigns, making decisions and influencing strategic decisions based on technical research and analysis.
  • Develop and implement research and analysis methods and techniques that draw actionable insights that inform and influence decision making at a strategic level.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders to meet research objectives, including one-to-one and group facilitation relevant to research campaigns.
  • Present complex data from multiple sources clearly to diverse audiences, using excellent communication skills.
  • Manage own work and manage junior staff in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Working knowledge of research and analysis tools, including survey design, PowerBI, and Excel.
