Key ResponsibilitiesResearchers at the National Centre for Social Research are pioneers in survey design and execution, analysis, evaluation, and qualitative methodologies. We have a reputation for excellence, driven by a passion for exploration, learning, and real-world impact.

Lead Research Analysts are accountable for managing and delivering high-quality research for our clients. They collaborate closely with Research Directors and are involved in all aspects of the research process, from proposal development to delivering impactful insights. The candidate will work on projects across our extensive portfolio. Prior experience in designing and leading social research initiatives is a fundamental requirement for this role. This position is ideal for someone with experience managing senior stakeholders with competing priorities.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality social research and leading multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of various research methodologies, with expertise in one or more of the following: surveys, quantitative analysis, qualitative methods, or evaluation.
  • Proven writing skills, including experience supporting senior colleagues in crafting compelling proposals.
  • Ability to mentor junior researchers and ensure the quality of their work.
  • Proven track record in managing and delivering high-quality research studies, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Strong research design capabilities and understanding of social research commissioning.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly to diverse audiences and manage client and stakeholder expectations.
  • Commitment to fostering and maintaining strong relationships with partners and clients.
  • Dedication to continuous improvement.
