Position: Secondary SEND Teaching Assistants

Company: teach195

teach195 is currently looking for dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistants to provide support to students across various Secondary Schools in Tameside.


Key Duties:

  • Deliver personalized educational assistance to students with SEND, fostering an inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students to enhance their emotional well-being.
  • Support the execution of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Encourage student self-esteem by providing both academic and emotional guidance.
  • Track and document student development and achievements.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience in supporting students with SEND within an educational environment.
  • Possession of NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or a comparable qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a commitment to assisting students with varied needs.
  • Capability to work both collaboratively and independently.
