GSL Education is seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants for a primary educational institution in Tameside. This establishment has received an Ofsted rating of 'Good'. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your role will be vital in aiding educators and learners in Key Stages 1 and 2. You will collaborate closely with our teaching staff and Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) to assist children with special educational needs throughout the school.
Your responsibilities will include supporting students in their educational journey, implementing targeted interventions, and ensuring that every child can access the curriculum effectively.
This position provides an excellent opportunity to work alongside seasoned educators, acquire valuable classroom experience, and significantly impact the lives of our students.
Key Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively with educators and young learners
- Capacity to foster a supportive learning atmosphere
- Empathy and understanding towards students
- Proficiency in using computers and other devices
- Ability to maintain composure in challenging situations
- Willingness to engage in various activities both inside and outside the school environment
- Prior experience working with children with special educational needs in an educational setting is preferred
To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant with GSL Education, candidates must:
- Have the legal right to work in the UK
- Provide an updated CV with two relevant references from the past two years
- Possess a DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education
Please note that this role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Successful candidates must pass all background recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
