Job Title: Secondary SEND Teaching Assistants - teach195

teach195 is actively seeking dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistants to support students with diverse learning requirements across various Secondary Schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personalized Learning Assistance: Work in collaboration with educational institutions to deliver tailored support to individuals and small groups, ensuring that learning experiences are adapted to meet the unique needs of students with SEND, thereby fostering an inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and nurture positive connections with students, enhancing their emotional health and boosting their self-confidence.
  • IEP Implementation Support: Aid in the execution of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with SEND.
  • Confidence Empowerment: Engage with students to cultivate trust and rapport, providing not only academic assistance but also emotional support to help them feel valued and confident in their capabilities.
  • Progress Monitoring: Observe and document student development, communicating findings to relevant educational staff.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with SEND students in an educational environment is highly preferred.
  • Possession of NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or an equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a sincere enthusiasm for aiding students with varied needs.
  • Capability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently when necessary.
