About the Role

We are seeking a visionary leader to join our team as the Chief Governance Officer. As a key ambassador for Albyn School, you will champion our mission to build academic excellence and equip our pupils with the knowledge and skills to become good global citizens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the Board of Governors, providing expert guidance on governance and leadership matters.
  • Develop and implement effective governance strategies to drive the school's mission and long-term goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including parents, staff, and external partners.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the school's executive management team, ensuring alignment with the school's vision and values.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of the school's budget, ensuring sound financial management and strategic planning.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in executive management and governance, with a strong track record of leadership and decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Sound knowledge of governance and leadership principles, with the ability to apply these in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Passion for education and improving the life chances of young people, with a commitment to building academic excellence.
