Job Summary

Sentinel Marine Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Officer to join our team. As a key member of our vessel operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise and manage a team of deck ratings to ensure the smooth operation of the vessel.
    • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve vessel performance and efficiency.
  • Operational Oversight
    • Monitor and control vessel operations, including cargo loading and unloading, ballasting, and navigation.
    • Ensure compliance with international safety and environmental regulations.
  • Health and Safety
    • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to minimize risk to personnel and the environment.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Reporting and Communication
    • Prepare and submit regular reports to management on vessel operations and performance.
    • Communicate effectively with crew members, management, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless vessel operations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Chief Officer or equivalent role.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Strong knowledge of international safety and environmental regulations.
