Job Description

Job Title: Lead Program Manager - Innovation Driver

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Program Manager to join our team at McLaren Applied. As a key member of our motorsport business unit, you will be responsible for leading our program management activities and driving innovation in the development of new products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a program management strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Lead a team of program managers and provide guidance and support to ensure successful delivery of projects.
  • Manage and motivate delivery teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Organize projects using a structured product development framework and ensure regular reviews of progress.
  • Facilitate governance and stakeholder management to ensure effective communication and problem resolution.
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, and opportunities to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Implement appropriate project reporting and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Ensure projects are suitably resourced and resolve resource and capability gaps.
  • Manage relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal project teams.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree qualification or equivalent combination of education and work experience in technical product development and delivery.
  • Professional qualification in project management is desirable.
  • Record of accomplishment in a program or multi-project management role within a technical product development environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to clearly direct the program team towards key objectives.
  • Ability to make high-quality program-level decisions and facilitate solving problems that may fall outside of own area of expertise.
  • Strong understanding of engineering disciplines, including mechanical, hardware, and software development.
  • Excellent stakeholder and people management skills, including supplier and customer interfacing.
  • Highly organized and able to use appropriate tools for controlling a project.
