Counselling Clinical Psychologist - Affiliate Opportunities

The successful candidate will conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of adults and provide a range of evidence-based psychological interventions within the Alliance Workplace Wellbeing team.

They will deliver clinics for external contractors, working closely with Occupational Health partners to provide a psychological perspective to a multidisciplinary, holistic wellbeing management team managing occupational stress, burnout, and trauma. They will have experience in the assessment of clinical risk and mental health conditions, as well as of recommending and delivering trauma interventions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting psychological assessments and providing evidence-based interventions
  • Working closely with Occupational Health partners to provide a psychological perspective
  • Delivering clinics for external contractors
  • Assessing clinical risk and mental health conditions
  • Recommending and delivering trauma interventions

Requirements:

  • Educated to a minimum of Level 7 in Psychology
  • Evidence of training relevant for this post
  • Good record of Continuing Professional Development and willingness to continue this
  • Accreditation/registration with BPS or HCPC or another recognised professional organisation
  • Substantial experience of working in Mental Health Services
  • Experience of conducting clinical assessments and making treatment recommendations
  • Understanding of the circumstances of staff working in front line health or policing roles, including experience of diagnosing and working with PTSD
  • Experience in a service where agreed targets in place demonstrating clinical outcomes
  • Awareness of a range of therapeutic approaches
  • Ability to manage own caseload and time
  • Demonstrates high standards in written communication and able to write clear reports and letters to referrers
  • Demonstrates an understanding for the need to use evidence-based psychological therapies and how it relates to this post
  • Skills in clinical assessment, interview, formulation, and treatment of a range of psychological presentations, including complex clinical presentations
  • Skills in developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating focused, time-limited treatment plans
  • Skills in managing working relationships with colleagues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good understanding of issues surrounding clinical risk and able to advise and assist in implementing risk management plans

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £60.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 22.5 per week

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
