About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Leonard Cheshire, a leading provider of care and supported living services. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in the running of our nursing home, supporting the Service Manager and deputising in their absence.

As a Registered Nurse with a passion for delivering high-quality care, you will lead a team of nursing and care staff, promoting positive outcomes for our customers with physical and learning disabilities. You will be responsible for monitoring and providing the highest standards of nursing, clinical, and personal support, ensuring our service is fully compliant with health and safety management and statutory obligations.

We are looking for someone with recent deputy manager experience in a care home setting, ideally with knowledge of the CQC Single Assessment Framework. You will have a flexible and proactive approach, with a focus on promoting independence and choice for our customers.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse
  • A level of professional development and registration (may include Level 5 Leadership in Health and Social Care qualification)
  • Experience in managing a team of nursing and care staff
  • Experience of providing direct personal and social care
  • Experience in working with customers who have physical and/or learning disabilities
  • Flexibility to work rostered hours
