Job Summary

We're seeking a Technical Service Specialist to join our team in Birmingham. As a Technical Service Specialist, you'll provide support to our customer base, handling installations, repairs, and upgrades of our diagnostic equipment. You'll also provide basic training to customers and Abbott Ambassadors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and perform planned maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance of our diagnostic instruments.
  • Conduct site inspections for new installations and provide technical support to customers during the installation process.
  • Perform IQOQ procedures during and after installation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with customer business reviews and provide technical coaching and training to other Technical Service Specialists.
  • Schedule and perform hardware and software updates to ensure our diagnostic instruments remain up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, such as medical technology or engineering.
  • Proven track record in a similar position, with excellent customer engagement and technical skills.
  • Excellent product and industry knowledge, with the ability to identify and drive resolution of technical issues.
  • Coaching and training skills, with the ability to deliver basic customer operator introductory training.
  • Excellent experience in the use of analytical tools and software, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
