Job Title: Refuge Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Refuge Support Worker to join our team at Llamau Limited. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in empowering women to achieve their full potential and transition into independent living.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key worker to motivate and empower women to gain independence and reach their full potential
  • Create support plans and help women achieve their goals and independence, working collaboratively as part of a team who embrace differences
  • Promote services and work closely with relevant local agencies, such as the local authority, specialist charities, education and training providers, probation, social services, and housing provisions
  • Enhance relationship building and partnership working skills to overcome barriers and setbacks

Requirements:

  • Ability to engage and build strong relationships with people
  • Non-judgmental mindset and understanding of the impacts of homelessness, substance misuse, family breakdown, domestic abuse, and trauma
  • Forward-thinking and resilient attitude to overcome barriers and setbacks
  • Strong character who can remain calm and collected in challenging situations
  • Experience in support work or domestic abuse with an understanding of housing options, housing law, and basic benefits
  • Full UK driving license and access to a car

Working Hours: 35 hours per week, plus an on-call rota. Additional payment of £96 for on-call duties.

Relief Pay: £13.45 per hour, £172.60 for sleepovers.
