Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Economist and Senior Economist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and executing time series and econometric forecasting and modeling projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis and interpretation, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the production of ten-year beverage alcohol forecasts across 160+ countries, with bi-annual and quarterly forecast updates with precision and efficiency, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our forecasts
  • Conduct in-depth statistical analyses to uncover short-term and long-term patterns, product interdependencies, trends, and opportunities for forecast improvements
  • Collaborate with our team to communicate findings and insights through clear and compelling project reports and presentations
  • Produce bespoke models and forecasts for our consulting clients and manage client queries
  • Oversee the recruitment of junior econometricians to build out this team
  • Stay abreast of innovative statistical techniques and methodologies, continuously seeking new ways to extract value from data to improve our forecasts, models, and scenarios
Requirements
  • Experience: Over 7 years of experience in leading and executing time series and econometric forecasting and modeling projects
  • Sector Knowledge: Preferably experienced and knowledgeable in the FMCG sector
  • Qualifications: Advanced degree in an analytical or quantitative field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to distill complex topics into clear, relevant messages for diverse audiences, both orally and in writing
  • Organizational Skills: Strong understanding of project management, with the ability to proactively prioritize, plan, and schedule complex and varied tasks
  • Analytical Skills: Advanced analytical skills using relevant software packages (e.g., R, STATA, PYTHON, SQL) and/or advanced Excel skills
