Corporate Credit Risk Manager

**Job Summary**
Macdonald & Company is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Credit Loan Asset Manager to join our team. As a key member of our asset management team, you will be responsible for managing a book of loans predominantly backed by Non-performing Loan portfolios originated by a major global investment bank.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Analytical Mindset**: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of corporate credit analysis, including financial statement analysis and credit metrics.
- **Client Management**: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- **Portfolio Management**: Oversee a portfolio of loans backed by middle market corporate loans, with a focus on credit risk management and monitoring portfolio companies' performance.
- **Collateral Checks**: Conduct thorough collateral checks prior to private equity manager drawdowns, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- **Credit Analysis**: Perform in-depth credit analysis and monitoring of portfolio companies' performance, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
- **Automated Reporting**: Utilize VBA to automate monthly/quarterly portfolio reporting, providing timely and accurate insights to stakeholders.
- **Bank Leverage Analysis**: Analyze bank leverage against corporate credit, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
- **Loan Sectors**: Manage a diverse portfolio of loans backed by middle market corporate loans, with a focus on credit risk management and monitoring portfolio companies' performance.
- **Loan-on-Loan Facility**: Understand the complexities of loan-on-loan or warehouse facilities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- **Problematic Loans**: Analyze and address problematic underlying loans, including corporate loans to various companies in key industries.
- **Quantitative Skills**: Develop and maintain advanced quantitative skills, including data analysis and modeling.
- **Autonomy**: Work independently, with a high level of autonomy and decision-making authority.
- **Risk Management**: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of credit risks facing the business, including identifying potential risks and opportunities.
- **Data Analysis**: Conduct thorough data analysis, both qualitative and quantitative, to inform business decisions.
**Requirements:**
- 4-6 years of experience in corporate loan asset management, portfolio management, credit risk, and/or corporate lending.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills, with advanced competence in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Intermediate to advanced level of quantitative skills, including data analysis and modeling.
- Ability to work autonomously, with a high level of decision-making authority.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on credit risk management and monitoring portfolio companies' performance.
