Position Overview
The role of the Credit Analyst is pivotal in our organization, focusing on the meticulous preparation of credit analysis reports for new lending proposals and annual evaluations. This position is essential for assessing the credit risk associated with extending financial facilities to a diverse array of financial institutions, corporations, and governmental entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing comprehensive analytical reports that evaluate the risk involved in the provision of new credit facilities and the renewal of existing ones, adhering to the bank's established standards and protocols. This includes the detailed analysis of financial statements, risk assessment, and the formulation of credit recommendations supported by cash flow projections.
- Creating analytical reports that assess the risk in extending new credit facilities and renewing existing ones specifically for banks and other financial entities.
- Compiling monthly and quarterly Management Information System (MIS) reports on critical credit portfolios, including business support portfolios, for review by senior management.
- Conducting thorough political and economic analyses of designated countries while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of specific industries to prepare relevant studies on economic trends and assess industry risks.
- Engaging with banks, trade, and credit agencies to gather essential credit information.
- Accompanying the Account Officer on visits to existing clients to enhance understanding of their operational and financial situations.
- Supporting the Head of Department in executing special projects as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and/or training in a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in a Credit, Risk, or similar role, with a focus on Corporate or Institutional Lending or Private Banking.
