Your primary focus will be on managing risk strategies throughout the entire credit lifecycle, utilizing analytics and business insight to optimize processes while ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support the Financial Assistance Strategy to maintain commercial viability while adhering to regulatory and risk policy requirements.
- Engage in the negotiation and execution of structured lending opportunities across our corporate and sponsor client base, ensuring optimal customer outcomes.
- Collaborate with legal counsel and bank policy to document deal terms effectively.
- Oversee the transaction flow to completion, addressing any issues promptly and ensuring that commercial risks are adequately mitigated through finance document protections.
- Coordinate discussions among relevant deal team members, including clients, Relationship teams, and other essential stakeholders such as Professional Advisors and Legal Counsel.
- Formulate and implement risk management strategies, identifying potential credit risks, assessing impact scenarios, and recommending measures to minimize the bank's exposure.
- Maintain key stakeholder relationships within target companies to understand their needs and propose suitable lending solutions.
- Analyze industry trends and legal developments, sharing insights and best practices with the team.
- Monitor key performance metrics such as client acquisition, loan volume, revenue generation, and market share to evaluate the performance of the commercial banking segment.
- Influence the work of related teams within the area.
- Collaborate with other functions and business areas.
- Take ownership of the outcomes of team operations and activities.
- Appropriately escalate any breaches of policies or procedures.
- Lead the implementation of new policies or procedures adopted for risk mitigation.
- Advise and influence decision-making within your area of expertise.
- Manage risk and enhance controls related to your responsibilities, ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations.
- Continuously build an understanding of how your sub-function integrates with the overall function, alongside knowledge of the organization’s products and services.
- Demonstrate an understanding of how various areas contribute to achieving organizational objectives.
- Make informed judgments based on factual analysis, paying close attention to detail.
- Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions based on acquired technical expertise.
- Act as a point of contact for stakeholders outside your immediate function, while building a network of contacts both within and outside the organization.
