Corporate Credit Analyst Job Description

Cer Financial is partnering with a leading European corporate and investment bank to recruit a Corporate Credit Analyst. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity based in the City of London.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with business lines to ensure seamless request processing.
  • Verify that each request aligns with the bank's relevant risk policy.
  • Provide independent and written credit analysis for each credit request.
  • Present risk recommendations to the credit committee and/or delegation holder.
  • Review and validate internal ratings proposed by business lines.
  • Ensure timely annual review and rating updates.
  • Monitor the risk profile of the existing client portfolio.
  • Report watch list counterparties as part of routine reviews or by raising specific credit alerts.
  • Provide backup for other credit analysts in the London Credit Risk team when necessary.
  • Assist with transversal tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • Finance and/or economics background.
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of the European project finance and LBO markets.
  • Ability to produce detailed and concise risk analysis.
  • Capacity to assess, present, and explain complex transactions and new activities to management.
