The Greater Brighton Metropolitan College is looking for a dedicated Educational Support Manager to lead our SEND and Additional Support team. This position is vital in ensuring that we effectively address the evolving educational needs of our diverse student population.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and coordinating in-class assistance for students with learning difficulties and disabilities.
  • Overseeing the daily operations of the support services provided to students and managing the team.

To be successful in this position, you must possess:

  • A minimum of GCSE qualifications at grade C or above (or equivalent), particularly in maths and English.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field, or a commitment to obtain one.
  • Proven strategies for supporting students with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs).
  • The ability to manage challenging behaviors, solve problems, and make informed decisions.

Additionally, strong IT skills and excellent time management are essential.
