The institution is seeking a dedicated support professional to assist with the educational needs of students, particularly those on the Autism Spectrum. The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience or qualifications in working with children with Autism.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the creation and execution of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Risk Assessments, and Personal Care and Therapy Care programs for assigned students.
  • Provide support to children with Autism Spectrum Condition, ensuring their educational and personal development.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and a commitment to professional growth.
  • Maintain a consistent schedule, available for fixed days, whether full-time or part-time.
  • Possess an NVQ in Childcare and Education or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
  • Experience in residential support work, care, or educational settings is advantageous.
  • Personal experience with Autism Spectrum Condition, either in a professional or personal context, is beneficial.
  • Training in Team Teach, TEACCH, or positive handling techniques is preferred.
  • Support the development of independence in young individuals.
  • Hold a clear and valid DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
