Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Selby. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to work with a manufacturer and contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of their machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform planned, predictive, and reactive mechanical maintenance to ensure optimal efficiency of all machinery.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections, diagnose, repair, and rebuild major equipment/components.
  • Carry out daily equipment inspections and greasing schedules.
  • Collaborate with contractors/vendor service teams when specialized skills are required.
  • Support the implementation of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for all repairs, servicing, and modifications to equipment.
Requirements:
  • Apprentice-trained or relevant mechanical engineering qualifications.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions, including outdoor work, production areas, and on-site workshops.
  • Willingness to be on call out of hours on a rota system.
