Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned, predictive, and reactive mechanical maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of all machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform planned, predictive, and reactive mechanical maintenance to ensure optimum efficiency of all machinery
  • Attend breakdowns, fault find, and conduct rectifications of faults
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections (PM), diagnose, repair, and rebuild major equipment/components
  • Perform daily equipment inspections (DEI) and greasing schedules
  • Work in conjunction with contractors/vendor service teams when more specialized skills are required
  • Support the implementation of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for all repairs, servicing, and modifications to equipment
  • Work towards a zero-breakdown and zero-stop mentality
Requirements:
  • Apprentice-trained or relevant mechanical engineering qualifications
  • Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities, whilst working to high standards and time constraints
  • Positive and proactive problem solver
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and weather, including working outside, in production areas, and on-site workshop
  • Able to work in a team environment, with good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work and interact at all levels within an organization
  • Ability to be on call out of hours on a rota system
