Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team in Selby. As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal efficiency of all machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform planned, predictive, and reactive mechanical maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operations.
  • Attend to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and conduct rectifications to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections, diagnose, repair, and rebuild major equipment and components.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and greasing schedules to maintain equipment health.
  • Collaborate with contractors and vendor service teams to address specialized maintenance needs.
  • Support the implementation of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for all repairs, servicing, and modifications to equipment.
  • Work towards a zero-breakdown and zero-stop mentality to optimize production efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Apprentice-trained or relevant mechanical engineering qualifications.
  • Proven ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities, and work under time constraints.
  • Positive and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions, including outdoor and production area environments.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work and interact at all levels within an organization.
  • Ability to be on call out of hours on a rota system.
