Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Selby. As a key member of the manufacturing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of all machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform planned, predictive, and reactive mechanical maintenance to optimize equipment efficiency
  • Attend to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and conduct rectifications
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections, diagnose, repair, and rebuild major equipment/components
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and greasing schedules
  • Collaborate with contractors and vendor service teams for specialized skills
  • Support the implementation of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Work towards a zero-breakdown and zero-stop mentality
Requirements:
  • Apprentice-trained or relevant mechanical engineering qualifications
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
  • Positive and proactive problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work and interact at all levels within the organization
  • Availability for on-call duties on a rota system
