Elevation Recruitment Group is collaborating with a prominent manufacturing firm to seek a Mechanical Engineering Technician.


Compensation:
£35,000 - £40,000 plus additional on-call remuneration and overtime opportunities.

Working Hours:
8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

The Mechanical Engineering Technician will report directly to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor and will be tasked with executing scheduled, predictive, and responsive mechanical upkeep to guarantee the highest operational efficiency of all machinery.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct scheduled, predictive, and responsive mechanical maintenance in a timely manner.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul major machinery and components.
  • Carry out Daily Equipment Inspections (DEI) and adhere to greasing schedules.
  • Engage in the evaluation, enhancement, and maintenance of manufacturing processes and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with contractors and vendor service teams when specialized skills are necessary.
  • Assist in the deployment of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for all repairs, servicing, and modifications to equipment.

We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who possess:

  • Apprentice training or relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering.
  • The capability to work in diverse temperature conditions and environments, including outdoor settings and production areas.
  • The willingness to participate in an on-call rota system.
