Job Title: System Engineer - DCS & Safety

Yokogawa UK Ltd is seeking a highly driven System Engineer (DCS & Safety) to join our team in Aberdeen, Scotland.

About the Role:

As a System Engineer (DCS & Safety), you will be responsible for providing first-class support and technical expertise to our customers. Your role will involve project initiation, system design, SIL classification, project planning, and execution of Factory Acceptance Tests, site installation, commissioning, and Site Acceptance Tests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement DCS software configurations based on client requirements
  • Supervise or implement detailed design and function block programming for Safety systems
  • Modify existing safety systems and conduct impact analysis
  • Work with minimal supervision as part of a structured team
  • Conduct internal testing, execute Factory Acceptance Tests, and manage site installation
  • Ensure system handover, complete necessary documents, and formalize project closures
Requirements:
  • Minimum HNC qualification in engineering or process-related subject
  • Hold a full UK driving license
  • Experience in a similar role within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or Industrial Automation environment
  • Offshore certificates are highly desired, but full training can be provided
