Job Title: Lecturer in Physiotherapy

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our team as a Lecturer in Physiotherapy. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and assessing students on our BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, pre-registration MSc Physiotherapy, and Post Graduate programmes.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and creative team, embedding innovative teaching and simulation opportunities, focussing on enhancing the student experience and sharing in the co-creation and delivery of these popular and respected programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and assess students on our Physiotherapy programmes
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the Physiotherapy curriculum
  • Supervise and mentor students on clinical placements
  • Participate in the development and implementation of innovative teaching and learning strategies
  • Contribute to the development of the Physiotherapy programme
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant degree in Physiotherapy and a postgraduate qualification
  • Current and active registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Physiotherapist
  • A Higher Education teaching qualification and/or a HEA Fellowship
  • Recent professional experience as a senior practitioner
  • Up-to-date, sound knowledge of current developments in health
Desirable Qualifications

Post-graduate qualifications and an active research portfolio are desirable. If you have a Doctorate and can supervise at this level, you will have opportunities to develop as the university has an active programme for supporting early career researchers.
