The Boathouse Youth is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleetwood Youth Development Manager to lead our youth services in Fleetwood. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our youth centre and developing and implementing programs that promote positive youth development.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the youth centre, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for young people.
- Develop and implement programs that promote positive youth development, including youth work activities, community outreach, and partnerships with local organizations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff and volunteers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and support to deliver high-quality programs.
- Collaborate with local stakeholders, including schools, community groups, and government agencies, to promote the work of The Boathouse Youth and secure funding and resources.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as needed to ensure the best possible outcomes for young people.
- Minimum of three years' experience in youth work or a related field, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful programs.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff and volunteers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people, staff, and community stakeholders.
- Knowledge of youth development principles and practices, with a commitment to promoting positive youth development.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
