The main purpose of the role is to initiate and develop relationships with 12 to 19 year olds and up to 25 year olds for young people with vulnerabilities. Working directly with targeted young people to enable them to broaden their horizons and involvement in positive activities. By designing and developing youth work responses underpinned by the 4 cornerstones of youth work, equality, participation, education and empowerment and delivery of the Youth Offer.

**Youth work **focuses on personal and social development - the skills and attributes of young people - rather than to ‘fix a problem’. Youth voice we support this by having district youth councils, linked to Lancashire Youth Council, regional and national work. We also offer enhanced programmes such as LGTBQ+ groups or specific issued based groups, so mental health groups.

If you think you have the skills, are keen to work with young people and make a difference in their lives then please come forward, speak to the team, apply, we would be happy to have you.

Please ensure you have uploaded and attached your supporting statement to evidence how you meet the criteria for the role. The panel may be unable to shortlist you for interview without this evidence.
