As a Marketing Lead within the Boston Consulting Group's Climate & Sustainability (C&S) Practice Area, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing our marketing strategy aimed at enhancing our C&S presence in the marketplace and fostering robust client connections. This position carries global responsibilities and offers significant visibility to C&S leadership, as you will independently oversee a diverse range of marketing initiatives across various channels. We are looking for a proactive individual with a keen interest in Climate & Sustainability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the creation of the annual Practice Area Marketing strategy, integrating insights on business objectives, historical performance evaluations, and market trend analysis.
- Collaborate with senior internal stakeholders to comprehend business needs and provide guidance in translating these requirements into impactful marketing strategies.
- Assist in financial planning and oversight to ensure optimal resource allocation across multiple projects and initiatives.
- Participate in the formulation of an editorial strategy that aligns with business and marketing objectives.
- Oversee the content publication schedule, working with stakeholders to develop new intellectual assets and determining suitable formats and channels for distribution.
- Coordinate with creative and design teams to produce engaging multimedia content in collaboration with editorial teams for platforms such as websites, social media, and email communications.
- Manage the C&S brand presence, refreshing narratives and content while monitoring performance metrics to enhance campaign effectiveness.
- Supervise the dissemination of content across various channels in partnership with the Campaign marketing team, leading performance analysis and reporting to inform ongoing improvements.
- Take charge of organizing C&S events and sponsorships, including audience engagement, logistical coordination, on-site support, and pre- and post-event communications.
- Collaborate with other Practice Area marketing teams and external partners (e.g., coalitions, institutions, clients, or nonprofits) to facilitate the execution of joint initiatives.
- Engage with central marketing functions, including public relations, editorial, web, social, and paid media teams, to incorporate their expertise into C&S marketing efforts.
- Work alongside regional and country marketing teams and stakeholders on the global C&S marketing strategy, amplifying local marketing efforts through global C&S channels.
- Support the Practice Area offer teams and topic leaders in planning and executing marketing activities to drive commercial engagement.
- Mentor and assist in the development of junior team members, including managing the Marketing Assistant.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 6-8 years of relevant marketing experience in consulting or professional services.
- A Master's degree is preferred.
- A strong interest in Climate & Sustainability within the business context (experience is advantageous).
- Experience in leading teams or managing defined work areas with varying levels of complexity; mentoring others.
- Ability to independently address diverse challenges and establish clear guidelines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical capabilities.
- A highly professional, proactive, and adaptable attitude.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure, demonstrating presence and maturity in high-stress situations.
- Experience with digital marketing tools such as CRM, Marketo, and Salesforce.
- Advanced proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
