Care Services Supervisor

Position Summary
Advanced Care (NI) stands as a leading social care provider in Northern Ireland, dedicated to delivering exceptional care to individuals in their residences. We are currently seeking a Team Leader to enhance our Supported Living Services in Lisburn. This role is pivotal in collaborating with office personnel, support staff, and service users to ensure the delivery of high-quality care services.
Employment Type: Full-time & Part-time
Compensation: £17 - £18 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and implement tailored support and care services for vulnerable adults.
- Provide necessary coverage across the Supported Living Services as needed.
- Facilitate effective communication among service users, staff, and administrative teams.
- Offer feedback and ensure quality assurance measures are met.
- Support the management team within the community.
- Assist staff, service users, and their families as required.
- Conduct spot checks, maintain documentation, and oversee staff supervision sessions.
- Provide on-call support as necessary.
Work Schedule and Availability
- Full-time commitment of 37.5 hours per week.
- Availability to respond to calls or perform other duties as directed by the office team during workdays.
- Specific tasks will be assigned as needed.
- Hours may be adjusted based on operational requirements.
- A valid driving license and access to a reliable vehicle are essential.

- Required to work across various service user locations.
Support and Care Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation, execution, and evaluation of support and care plans, considering input from service users and their families.
- Aid service users in fulfilling their personal care needs.
- Monitor and report any changes in health or behavior.
- Ensure compliance with recognized standards and internal policies.
- Foster positive relationships between service users and the community.
- Maintain effective working relationships with team members.
- Provide thorough handovers to other staff members.
- Adhere to the complaints policy when necessary.
- Ensure confidentiality regarding service users and staff.
- Complete all tasks punctually and to established quality standards.
Record Keeping Duties
- Keep accurate and current records, both written and digital, related to care plans and other documentation.
- Prepare timely reports as required.
Medication Management
- Administer various medications as needed.
- Conduct drug audits where applicable.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Participate in the onboarding of new staff and conduct supervision as directed.
Management Responsibilities
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and report any issues promptly.
- Identify and address poor staff performance as necessary.
- Conduct comprehensive handovers.
- Perform ongoing spot checks on staffing and service delivery.
Professional Development
- (Optional) Pursue and complete a Level 3 certificate in Management.
- Maintain registration with the relevant regulatory body.
- Engage in open discussions during supervision and appraisal meetings.
- Attend all mandatory training sessions.
- Participate in additional training opportunities as agreed with management.
Health and Safety Responsibilities
- Take personal responsibility for safety and report any concerns.
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct health and safety audits as required.
Additional Responsibilities
- Provide coverage for scheduled absences as needed.
- Uphold high standards of accountability.

Experience Requirements:
