Employment Type: Full-time & Part-time
Compensation: £17 - £18 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and implement tailored support and care services for vulnerable adults.
- Provide coverage across various Supported Living Services as needed.
- Facilitate effective communication among service users, staff, and administrative teams.
- Deliver feedback and ensure quality assurance measures are met.
- Support the management team in community-based initiatives.
- Assist staff, service users, and their families as required.
- Conduct regular checks, maintain documentation, and oversee staff supervision sessions.
- Be available for on-call duties as necessary.
Work Schedule and Availability
- Full-time commitment of 37.5 hours per week.
- Availability to respond to calls or fulfill other duties as directed during scheduled shifts.
- Specific tasks will be assigned based on operational needs.
- Hours may vary based on service requirements and management discretion.
- A valid driving license and access to a reliable vehicle are essential.
Conditions of Employment
- Required to work across all service user locations managed by Advanced Care Services.
Support and Care Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing personalized support and care plans, considering the perspectives of service users and their families.
- Provide assistance to service users in maintaining their personal care needs.
- Monitor and report any changes in health and behavior.
- Ensure all services comply with recognized standards and organizational policies.
- Foster positive relationships between service users and the community.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
- Ensure comprehensive handovers to other team members.
- Adhere to the complaints policy when addressing any issues raised.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding service users, their families, and staff.
- Complete all tasks punctually and to the required quality standards.
Documentation and Record Keeping
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records, both written and digital, related to support and care plans.
- Prepare timely reports as needed.
Medication Management
- Administer various medications as required.
- Conduct drug audits where appropriate.
Leadership Duties
- Participate in the onboarding of new staff and conduct supervision sessions as directed.
Management Responsibilities
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and report any issues promptly.
- Identify and address any performance concerns among staff.
- Conduct thorough handovers at the end of shifts.
- Perform regular checks on staffing and service delivery.
Professional Development
- Optional: Complete Level 3 certificate in Management.
- Maintain registration with NISCC and complete annual renewals.
- Engage in open discussions during supervision and appraisal meetings.
- Attend all mandatory training sessions.
- Participate in additional training opportunities as agreed with management.
Health and Safety Compliance
- Take responsibility for personal safety and report any concerns.
- Adhere to all health and safety policies, including incident reporting.
- Conduct health and safety audits as required.
Additional Responsibilities
- Provide coverage for scheduled absences and maintain high standards of accountability.
