Job Description Overview:

As a Concept Design Specialist at Contechs, you will be responsible for delivering design proposals according to design brief and project constraints in assigned programs using CATIA v.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative design solutions for new body exterior panels, taking into account complex technical criteria.
  • Conduct body packaging, concept studies, and detailed design, including sizing calculations and the use of CAD/CAE to create viable sections.
  • Assess engineering prototypes to identify potential issues or risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Research and evaluate the feasibility, functionality, and cost-effectiveness of design concepts.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in automotive Catia V5 design.
  • Experience in concept and full vehicle packaging and layout.
  • Carbon fibre composite concept design and/or powertrain and mechanical layout experience.
  • Understanding of DFMEA and risk assessment techniques in an automotive environment.
  • Fluency in English.
