Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Powertrain Concept Design and Integration Engineer to join our team at Contechs. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and integrating powertrain systems for our automotive clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop powertrain systems, including concept and full vehicle packaging and layout.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets mechanical and manufacturing requirements.
  • Develop and maintain design documentation, including geometric tolerancing and BS 8888 standards.
  • Support design decisions with hand calculations and ensure high-quality work.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in powertrain design and integration.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in automotive Catia V5 design.
  • Experience in concept and full vehicle packaging and layout.
  • Carbon fibre composite concept design and/or powertrain and mechanical layout experience.
  • Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education to Degree level.
  • Ability to create full detailed design drawings.
  • Good understanding of mechanical design requirements.
  • Understanding of DFMEA and risk assessment techniques.
  • PC literate and at ease with MS Office products.
