Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team at Dalebrook Supplies. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for overseeing and developing our purchasing and logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive buying strategy across all product categories, ensuring alignment with our business goals and objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating favorable terms and maximizing margins.
- Oversee and develop the Purchasing & Logistics team, ensuring efficient and accurate running of purchasing administrative tasks.
- Produce regular reports on departmental efficiency, including lead time from suppliers, stock aging reports, and stock movement insights.
- Review and negotiate existing vendor contract agreements, ensuring optimal terms and conditions.
- Liaise with sales teams and vendors to offer attractive project prices to customers.
- Collaborate with sales teams to anticipate future stock requirements, ensuring timely acquisition of product portfolio.
- Identify potential risks and challenges related to stock procurement, developing risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruption to timelines and budgets.
Requirements:
- Purchasing or supply chain procurement qualification essential.
- Solid experience in key Buyer role/Purchasing management role essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and stock planning system desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills.
- Ability to collaborate with different teams and use own initiative.
- Positive, can-do attitude, with drive to be successful.
