Credit Controller

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Credit team as an Apprentice Credit Controller. This role will provide an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in credit control, working closely with our experienced team.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a ledger of up to 600 live accounts with debt between £100 and £200,000.00, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.
- Maximize collection of debt through effective communication with customers, using telephone, email, and debt letters as necessary.
- Collaborate with the Senior Credit Controller to review performance and overdue debts, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to reduce queries and disputes.
- Support the allocation of cash and process new credit applications, maintaining accurate customer records and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
- Liaise with other branches, including occasional branch visits, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Knowledge of Self-billing Accounts is desirable.
- Strong understanding of credit control accounting processes and procedures.
- Highly motivated and able to work independently, with a keen eye for detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
