About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment and treatment of adults with mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop management plans for patients with complex mental health needs
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior medical staff and other team members
  • Liaise with local primary care services and provide advice and guidance on mental health matters
  • Develop and implement service improvements to enhance patient care and outcomes
  • Contribute to the development of the Trust's mental health services and strategies
Requirements
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise
  • Approved clinician status or ability to achieve within 3 months
  • Excellent knowledge and expertise in general adult psychiatry
  • Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty
  • Experience in research, education, or service improvement
