Job Description

CV Library is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining high-quality standards and driving continuous improvement within our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain and develop our Quality Management System in line with ISO9001 requirements.
  2. Engage in new product introduction activities, ensuring seamless integration with our existing processes.
  3. Ensure compliance to customer specifications, fostering strong relationships with our clients.
  4. Manage and resolve customer, supplier, and internal non-conformances, promoting a culture of quality and excellence.
  5. Conduct process and product audits periodically, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  6. Identify and act upon opportunities for improvement, driving innovation and efficiency within our operations.
  7. Generate process-related documentation, including work instructions, quality alerts, PFMEA's, control plans, and other relevant materials.
  8. Support with production trials, ensuring the successful launch of new products.
  9. Develop and report on COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) within the business, providing valuable insights for improvement.
  10. Oversee customer and internally driven engineering changes, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption.
  11. Generate and maintain business-relevant KPI's, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.
  12. Supervise and lead a team of 3 shift QC personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  13. Foster a flexible and adaptable approach, responding to changing business needs and priorities.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum of 4 years in a similar role, with a proven track record of success.
  2. Working knowledge of core quality tools, including FMEA, APQP, SPC, MSA, and PPAP.
  3. An understanding of lean techniques and methodologies, with experience in implementing process improvements.
  4. An ability to read and interpret technical drawings, with a strong attention to detail.
  5. Understanding of problem-solving tools, with experience in resolving complex issues.
  6. Commercial awareness, with a strong understanding of business operations and financial management.
  7. Operation of a CMM / Faro arm, with experience in precision measurement and inspection.
  8. Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), with experience in data analysis and reporting.
  9. Sage Accounts / Sage Manufacturing (not essential), with experience in financial management and reporting.
  10. Supervisory experience, with a proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
  11. Ability / experience with Polyworks, with experience in 3D measurement and inspection.
