Specialist Paediatric Dietitian

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Paediatric Dietitian to join our team in Knowsley and St Helens. As a key member of our Community Dietetics team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality dietetic services to our patients, particularly those requiring home enteral feeding and oral nutrition support.
Main Responsibilities- Manage a complex caseload of patients with home enteral feeding and oral nutrition support needs, providing specialist assessments and interventions as required.
- Work closely with other team members, including Dietetic Assistants and Administrative staff, to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
- Contribute to the development of policy and services to reflect local needs, ensuring that all staff attend mandatory training and maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills.
- Participate in individual and group supervision, implementing mentorship and clinical supervision with the team, and initiating training and development of team members.
- Monitor and ensure that the quality of patient care delivered by the team is evidence-based and supported by best practice, through the use of audit, caseload, and clinical supervision.
- BSc Nutrition and Dietetics or relevant degree with postgraduate diploma in dietetics and professional registration.
- Evidence of successful completion of specialist short courses up to Masters level or equivalent.
- Experiential training demonstrating highly specialist skills in specialist area.
- Evidence of management training.
- Membership of relevant special interest groups.
- Evidence of leadership training.
- Full member of British Dietetic Association (BDA).
- Member of Specialist Group of BDA.
- Masters or postgraduate qualification in relevant clinical area.
