Job Title: Director of Development and Strategy

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Development and Strategy to join our team at the Centre for British Photography. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in advancing our mission and vision, and driving the charity's growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support the charity's mission and vision
  • Work closely with the Founding Director and Trustees to evolve and execute the overall business and strategic plan
  • Forge strategic partnerships and collaborations to advance the charity's mission and vision
  • Manage all aspects of fundraising, including individual giving, corporate sponsorship, government grants, trusts and foundation giving, and dynamic fundraising activities

Requirements:

  • A minimum of five years' senior level experience in a similar role with the arts, culture and heritage sector or a comparable field
  • Proven experience of ambitious strategic planning and execution, including researching, analysing data, forecasting future trends and opportunities, goal setting, ensuring consistency of approach and delivery, legal compliance and reputational protection
  • Excellent administrative, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to write clearly and persuasively, and to represent the charity and advance its mission and vision
  • Up-to-date knowledge of best practices in the charitable and arts sectors
