Cygnet Healthcare is on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled Assistant Psychologist to join our team, focusing on adult mental health. This full-time position involves working 37.5 hours weekly, Monday through Friday.

Our facility is a modern mental health establishment designed to provide high-quality care for adults. We are committed to delivering essential services to local patients, ensuring a therapeutic environment that adheres to national standards.

Responsibilities:

The Assistant Psychologist will play a crucial role in enhancing the psychological care of clients by:

  • Assisting the Qualified Psychologist in the implementation and assessment of effective mental health services.
  • Administering and scoring psychometric evaluations and standardized risk assessments.
  • Contributing to clinical formulations and supervised individual and group therapeutic interventions.
  • Participating in ongoing clinical supervision and professional development opportunities.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will be a proactive team member with strong organizational skills and a deep understanding of therapeutic boundaries and clinical risk management. A genuine passion for helping others is essential. Candidates should possess:

  • A degree in Psychology.
  • Postgraduate training in a relevant area of applied psychology and mental health (preferred).
  • Experience in mental health services, with prior roles as an Assistant Psychologist being advantageous.

All applicants will undergo an enhanced DBS check and reference verification.
