About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Psychologist to join our team at Whittington Hospital NHS Trust. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the professional psychological care of clients within our service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake protocol-based psychological assessments of clients referred to our service, ensuring accurate and comprehensive evaluations.
  • Assist in the coordination and running of outreach groups, providing a supportive and inclusive environment for clients.
  • Contribute to the development of skills and competencies that enhance the delivery of current duties, staying up-to-date with best practices in mental health care.
  • Attend team training and supervision sessions, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with a strong educational background in psychology, preferably with a postgraduate degree. Essential qualifications include:

  • An upper second-class honors degree or higher in psychology.
  • Experience working with people with mental health problems or other disabilities, with a minimum of one year of relevant experience.

Desirable qualifications include further postgraduate training in relevant areas of mental health practice or research design and analysis.
