About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at Making Space, a leading provider of mental health services. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering person-centred support to adults with mental health conditions, including LD, dementia, and other physical conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to a dedicated team of support workers, ensuring values-based support is delivered to the highest standards.
  • Support adults with various conditions on a person-centred basis, including following care plans, administering medication, and assisting with daily living.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide a 24-hour service, responding to the needs of individuals in crisis.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in mental health support.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Support Worker, with a strong understanding of values-based support and person-centred care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, to meet the needs of the service.
  • Knowledge of mental health conditions, including LD, dementia, and other physical conditions.
  • Ability to administer medication and provide physical support, as required.
