Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Part-time Patient Adviser to join our friendly team at Highfield Surgery in Leicester City.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system, processing personal and telephone appointments, and answering incoming phone calls. They will also be required to signpost patients to the correct service, initiate contact with and respond to requests from patients, team members, and external agencies.

Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for reading code data on SystmOne, photocopying documentation as required, and data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information. They will also be responsible for inputting data into patients' healthcare records, directing requests for information to the administrative team, and managing queries in an efficient manner.

Secondary Responsibilities

The successful candidate may also be required to complete opening and closing procedures in accordance with the duty rota, inform staff who orders stationery supplies, and monitor the stock.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills, strong IT skills, and the ability to work as a team member and autonomously. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with the general public, be competent in the use of Office and Outlook, and have effective time management skills.

Desirable qualifications include GCSE Mathematics and English, AMSPAR Receptionists Qualification, and NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care. Multilingual speakers, particularly those who speak Hindi, Gujarati, Urdu, Punjabi, or Bengali, are also desirable.
