About the Role

Ares Management is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our European Credit Group as an Associate in Product Management and Investor Relations. This role will involve working closely with our London-based Product Management and Investor Relations team to provide investor relations support, including ongoing fund reporting for investors, investor presentation support, and addressing investor information requests.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Investor Relations Support: Provide investor relations support, including ongoing fund reporting for investors, investor presentation support, and addressing investor information requests.
  2. Product Management Support: Assist in producing fund reporting for investors on a monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc basis, as well as assisting in building new client materials and various prospect/marketing materials.
  3. Interface with Internal Teams: Interface and develop strong working relationships with all internal subject matter experts of the Firm, including Portfolio Management, Finance, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Human Resources.
  4. Investor Request Management: Liaise with Finance, Portfolio Management, Legal, and Compliance teams to respond to a broad range of investor requests, including audit confirmations, financial statement and fee data requests, and processing updates to investor details.
  5. Marketing and Client Materials: Create and edit marketing investor materials for co-investment and funds, and maintain quantitative and qualitative key metrics on competitors.
  6. Ad Hoc Projects: Take on ad hoc projects and support all other teammates with their work as needed.
Requirements
  1. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a related field.
  2. Bachelor's degree with strong academic performance.
  3. Fixed income or loan/credit experience preferred but not required.
  4. Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation and represent the Firm in a professional manner.
  5. Exceptional attention to detail, placing a high priority on accuracy and organisation.
  6. Highly proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  7. Problem solver with ability to research solutions and suggest resolutions.
  8. Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to set priorities, multi-task, and monitor own workload to meet aggressive deadlines.
  9. Takes initiative and has a strong work ethic.
  10. Creative, ready to think outside the box and add input to improving existing workflows.
  11. Proficiency in financial accounting and quantitative analysis skills.
  12. Demonstrated experience working in a team environment with multiple tasks.
