Duty Security Officer, The Savoy

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at The Savoy, a luxury hotel managed by Accor. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests, colleagues, and assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control access to restricted areas, including the Back of House and Front of House areas.
  • Issue and receive keys, create new staff IDs, and record relevant information.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the hotel to ensure doors are locked or open as required and fire exits are clear.
  • Monitor CCTV and report any unusual activity to In-house Security for further investigation.
  • Liaise with supervisors to disable fire alarms during steam cleaning.
  • Ensure accurate recording and reporting of accidents and incidents.
  • Monitor fire alarm panels, panic alarms, and showcase alarm panels.
  • Ensure a smooth handover at the end of each shift and maintain accurate records.
  • Comply with all Health and Safety legislation and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years' experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A confident and dynamic speaker, able to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Proven organizational skills, able to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Applicable job-related skills as per Accountable Duties.
  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
  • Valid First Aid Certificate (desirable).
  • Additional Health and Safety, SIA CCTV, Defibrillator, or Fire Marshall/Warden training or qualifications (advantageous).
