Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at The Savoy. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests, colleagues, and hotel premises. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where you will have the chance to develop your skills and expertise in security and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control access to Back of House areas, ensuring that staff and visitors have the correct level of access and follow security protocols.
  • Issue and receive keys, create new staff IDs, and record relevant information.
  • Conduct regular patrols of Back of House and Front of House areas to ensure doors are locked or open as required and fire exits are clear.
  • Monitor CCTV and report any unusual activity to In-house Security for further investigation.
  • Liaise with supervisors regarding the disabling of fire alarms during steam cleaning.
  • Ensure that all accidents and incidents are correctly recorded and reported, and injured persons receive the necessary treatment.
  • Monitor the Fire Alarm panel, Panic Alarm, and Showcase alarm panel, and Door alarm panel.
  • Ensure a smooth handover at the end of shift and maintain accurate records and the Security Log.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety legislation and use safe working practices to protect colleagues and yourself.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years' experience in the Hospitality Industry.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A confident and dynamic speaker, able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Proven organizational skills, able to work well on your own and meet deadlines with quality results.
  • Applicable job-related skills as per Accountable Duties.
  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence - Essential.
  • Valid First Aid Certificate - Desirable.
  • Additional Health & Safety, SIA CCTV, Defibrillator, or Fire Marshall/Warden training or qualifications a distinct advantage.
